Damn kids

It's after midnight. The punks downstairs have decided to host Covenant's traditional semesterly "Puerto Rican Dance Party". This means that incredibly shitty dance music has been blasting up the stairs for about the last four hours. I want to go to freaking bed. I mean, I understand having a party and all, but once it gets past, say, 11:00, it's time to turn down the tunes and let the rest of the neighborhood get some sleep. I don't care whether or not it's Saturday night: it's damned inconsiderate.

I know the feeling dude...

My first two weeks in Scotland were spent in a room next to a group of guys who had an unnatural affection for Sean Paul (also known as that really annoying Jamaican guy who authored a CD full of shitty dance music)... By that I mean, they had a frickin annoying habit of playing the first few seconds of one particular song over and over at full volume...and always at about 4 in the morning. They would then run in and out of their room slamming the door so hard that the entire area shook. This process was repeated every night.

um, did you try asking them to turn it down?

Turn it down? Not a chance.

I made the mistake of going to the PRDP, thinking that it would have something to do with Puerto Rico either thematically or musically. No. Oh well, at least my $3 went to a good cause?...

We went so far as to ask the security guards on duty to speak to them...and that worked for about two days. Then they found out the the guard most often on duty enjoyed Famous Grouse whiskey. They all got drunk several times and then blasted music all night long.

We decided to tough it out until our permanent place of residence was ready.

Hey man, don't you realize the feigning Puerto Rican sensitivities coupled with Nelly's "Hot in Here" is an incredible potent way to score with chicks?

Ya, I'm talking bout you Luther, Macdougal, Macey, and Bintz.

Uhh...Josiah...I don't think they read this.

What security guards? Does St. Elmo have security guards or something?

Evan, my experience happened in Glasgow. I was simply trying to sympathize with Ryan's pain.

Oh...sorry. That wasn't clear...to me at least.
