...is something I'm generally pretty good at. I basically know what I want, and usually have a fairly clear idea of how to get there. I can prioritize activities and make decisions that tend to get me what I want.
This, it seems, is yet another reason I shouldn't belong to the Democratic Party, if this article by Slate editor Michael Kinsley is to be believed. And I think he should be.

Posted by: mesh at February 6, 2004 10:03 AMI think I'm schizophrenic. I like a rockin' badass military and a somewhat hawkish FoPo, 'cept domestically I've gotten rather straightup democrat, more or less.
But then there's the abortion issue, which pretty much will always keep me from being able to, in good concious, vote for a democrat (unless, of course, he's pro-life).
Basically I just kinda like Bush, except for that whole stupid Patriot act thingie. THAT ticks me off.

Amanda here. First time I finally got around to reading your blog. Definitely got a chuckle out of Kinsley's article; I really enjoyed the tone of the Republican speaking as a Democrat trying to think like a Republican. And that comment about Kerry not inspiring anyone but his wife made me belly laugh. He really DOES look like an animatronic Lincoln. Just thought I'd share.
