Health in parody

Catherine Seipp had an article in the Sept. 3 edition of the Wall Street Journal in which she points out the nonsense inherent in the assertion that right-wing Christian fundamentalists are just as dangerous and evil as radical Islamists. The article takes quite a while to make this point, and will seem for quite a time to have completely changed the subject, but it'll make sense at the end. It's short, but worth the read.

Great article again Ryan. A simple question: who would you rather have pissed off at you? fundamentalist Christians, or fundamentalist Muslims? At least Christians want to CONVERT you...

In total agreement. It's funny, but I was having a discussion about this at dinner last night, and it's a tad disconcerting to hear people equate Fundamentalist Christians with Islamic Fundamentalism.

To Fundamentalist Christians, the lost need Jesus.
To Islamic Fundamentalists, the lost are infidels that need to be killed.
