Dignity and Shame (finally)

I finally snagged Crooked Fingers' Dignity and Shame, this time from BitTorrent (don't worry, I've ordered the LP, but I didn't want to wait for it to get here).

It's good. It's not transcendently good, but it's good. Definitely a solid addition to Bachmann's corpus. 8 of 10.

I've got my soundtrack for the next few days.

I'll be seeing the band in Philly on 3/25 and in New York on 3/26. Heck yeah.

Atlanta 3/22

I didn't care for the album much at first (too much of the pretty lady folksinger voice) but it's grown on me. I especially enjoy "Sleep All Summer" and the last, titular track. It's not a complete success at evoking duende, but I like that Bachmann is so consciously making the attempt.
