Idiots

Some moonbat has decided that it's time to launch an Internet-based campaign to impeach the president.

Time for a lesson in Constitutional law:

"The President, Vice President and all civil Officers of the United States, shall be removed from Office on Impeachment for, and Conviction of, Treason, Bribery, or other high Crimes and Misdemeanors."
-- US Constitution, Article II, section iv.

You can't be impeached for being incompetent. You've got to break the law first. Get a clue.

As an aside, the idea that a collection of echo-chamber bloggers can unseat a sitting head-of-state has to qualify as one of the most acute cases of delusions of grandeur to date.

Agreed. That's stupid. At the same time, it's nice when a lot of people mobilize themselves to participate in democracy. It would, of course, be nicer if they would spend a little time educating themselves about their democracy before they attempt to participate in it.

Personally, I'm not holding out for him to break the law. I'd rather someone just shoot him and get this over with.

PS. I'm kidding, I'm kidding!

PPS. No, I'm not.

As tempting as the idea sounds, wouldn't you agree that a successful assassination attempt on a sitting US president would have even more dire consequences than another few years of inept governance? Like, for starters, Dick Cheney becoming president>

So you think Bush is inept? I thought you were defending him the other day? (That's not meant as a harsh question; it just sounds that way in text.)
