Yeah, its idiotic. On both sides, though I'd point out that its particularly idiotic in a practical sense for the immigrants, as they're not exactly in a position of power here. (Tangential comment more or less unrelated to this news:) I sometimes wonder if the Islamists aren't getting a bit ahead of themselves -- if they're conviction that allah is on their side is leading to them trying to spark a holy war long before their side has the strength to win it (I have little doubt that if, tomorrow, it came to a war between the Islamic world and the ex-Christian world, it would be a certain (if a bit bloody) victory for the West; yes, they might trash our economies by depriving us of oil, but I suspect have enough oil to fuel enough weapons to wipe their societies off the face of the earth) -- I also suppose I should note before one of your less coherent visitors comes by and attacks my racism that I in no way would welcome such a conflict)
